Sunset Ranch RV Park, Leander, Texas

A Peaceful Retreat Near Austin

Nestled in the scenic Texas Hill Country, just 15 minutes north of downtown Austin, Sunset Ranch RV Park in Leander offers a tranquil escape that combines the serenity of rural living with the convenience of city access. As full-time RV travelers, we were looking for a peaceful retreat that still kept us close to the vibrant energy of Austin—and Sunset Ranch delivered on both fronts.

Upon arrival, we were impressed by the park’s layout and the spaciousness of each site. With 48 full-hookup sites offering 30/50-amp service, every detail seemed thoughtfully designed to accommodate RVs of all sizes. Some sites even feature canopy covers, providing shade from the summer Texas sun. The gravel pads were level, and the landscaping was simple but very well done.

One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the park’s nature trails. Winding through the property, these trails offered peaceful walks amidst the natural beauty of the Hill Country. We were fortunate to spot deer grazing in the evenings, adding to the park’s tranquil atmosphere.

They had simple amenities, but they fill the basic needs. The on-site laundry facilities were clean and convenient, making it easy to keep up with chores. They have Wi-Fi available throughout the park, but we stayed connected with our Starlink. For safety, the park is gated, complete with 24-hour video surveillance providing peace of mind during our stay. For pet owners, there’s a fenced dog park, as well as the open spaces and trails, perfect for daily walks.

While the park offers a peaceful country setting, it’s just a short drive from Austin’s vibrant attractions. You can take advantage of the proximity to explore the city’s live music scene, local eateries, and cultural landmarks. Additionally, the nearby Brushy Creek Regional Trail provides opportunities for biking and nature walks.
