Meadow Lane RV Park, Austin, Texas
So close to the city, but yet so quiet
We recently stayed at Meadow Lane RV Park in Austin, Texas, and it ended up being a great little stop. It’s just a short drive from all the action downtown, but when you pull into the park, it’s quiet, peaceful, and a perfect place to settle in for the evening. Whether you’re here for work, visiting the city, or just passing through, this park really strikes a great balance between convenience and comfort.
One thing that stood out right away was how well the RV sites are set up. They have extra-long concrete pads, full hookups, and brand-new power pedestals — super easy to pull in and get set up. Even big rigs will have no trouble here. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into making the park functional and modern, which we really appreciated.

Now, we don’t travel with a dog, but if you do — you’re in for a treat. The dog park here is the coolest we’ve seen. It’s fully fenced with artificial turf, agility stations, and there’s plenty of space for your pup to run and play. Honestly, we kind of wished we had a dog just so we had an excuse to hang out and play. And although we don’t have kids, we couldn’t resist trying out the playground — yes, the swings still hold up! We would have fun on this cute little playground with two castle-like towers, slides, and monkey bars, if we were (a few years) younger.

There’s a temporary bathhouse available now, but they’re building a new, permanent one that’s going to have large shower rooms with their own toilet and sink — and laundry facilities, too. It’ll be a big upgrade when that’s finished. They’re also adding a pool soon, which will be a great way to cool off during those hot Texas afternoons.
All in all, Meadow Lane is a great spot. You’re close to everything Austin has to offer, but at the end of the day, you get to come back to a quiet, well-kept park. Whether you’re here for a few nights or a few months, it’s definitely a place we’d recommend — and return to ourselves.
