Austin RV Park, Austin, Texas
A Hidden Gem Close to the Action
On a recent visit to Austin, we stayed at Austin RV Park, and it turned out to be a solid choice for our short stay. While it is a simple park with simple amenities, it offered just what we needed: a secure, quiet, and comfortable base just minutes from I-35, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and everything else Austin has to offer. For anyone looking for a peaceful place to settle in—whether for a few nights or a few months—this park has a lot going for it.

One of the first things we appreciated was the park’s gated entrance, which added a welcome sense of security. Inside, the park is tucked into a paved cul-de-sac with gravel RV sites that are well spaced and nicely maintained. While it is an RV park, the landscaping, with plants, shrubs, grass and shade trees, gives it a relaxed, neighborhood feel that’s rare in more urban parks.

The park itself is small, which creates a cozy, community-like atmosphere. There’s a second section of the park, accessible by a stone pathway, with a gravel drive and sites on one side and a grassy open area on the other.
Amenities are basic but modern and convenient. There’s a small bathhouse and laundry room, both kept clean and functional, which make longer stays more comfortable. As full-time RVers, we love when there’s an on-site laundry room! We found the entire park to be quiet and well cared for—perfect for winding down after a day exploring the surrounding cities.
As far as exploring, while there’s so much to do in Austin, it can be overwhelming. So we opted to do more exploring in nearby Round Rock. Super close, and a lot of fun and unique things to do like coffee and pastries at Unicorniverse, and a little “under the sea” bowling at Uncle Buck’s.
All in all, Austin RV Park makes a great stop if you’re passing through Austin, checking out nearby Round Rock, and an even better option if you’re looking for a longer-term stay where you can feel at home for a while. With quick access to major highways and all the essentials nearby, it’s a practical, pleasant place to park for a bit and enjoy the area at your own pace.
